    Agree with this and also disagree with Biden’s decision to re-engage there. No more American blood and treasure should be spent defending that quagmire! There is far too much tribalism for that country to unite and protect herself. Look what happened to Karzai and those that followed. There is no desire for centralization or tolerance for different religions, customs, traditions.

    Frankly, I’d like to see the Kurds separate and be left alone to do their own thing. They’re fierce but not looking for trouble.

    1. Thank you so much, Liz. It is indeed a country that can’t be managed. They have many countries within a country. In fact, the history of the whole region shows its lust for dictators and oppressors. The worst hit would be women & children. President Biden has fumbled badly. Who are his advisers?
