Can Trump be re-elected in 2024?

My husband and I are joined at the hip regarding politics so he shocked me last night when he expressed concern that the American version of the CCP and even moderate Republicans will prevent the Don from regaining the WH.

I’d really appreciate some feedback on this topic from all of you highly intelligent members because I no longer understand this country. As an aside, I was encouraged by VA election, but I am concerned that might be a “one-hit wonder.”

Please feel free to share your insights because I admittedly am confused.

  1. Without getting rid of mail-in ballots, and stopping the count at a certain hour, he will not be elected. Not because of people, but because the left is going to stuff the ballots yet again. That is why I can’t send money so that he can do the same thing again without putting all his efforts to fight mail-in ballots.

    1. It’s a shame about mail-in ballots because I’ve used them often due to business travel, etc. Now this convenience may need to be taken from me and others because of massive corruption? Argghhh…

  2. 1. I thought we were on the fast track to self-destruction prior to President Omega. His peeps are still running the show and our Constitution is same as used toilet paper as far as those Alinskyites are concerned. Speaking of Omega, he does not seem to help widows and orphans too much. I hear he is still visiting gay baths and such.

    2. There is no hope for anything like a coherent American culture with open borders, mail-in ballots, and the most generous welfare program in the world for illegals.

    3. I used the overseas mail-in ballot in the Marines something like 100x but if you recall, military mail-in ballots get lost during each and every election, even for town dog catcher and not just a few but by the truckloads somehow.

    1. #2. I agree and worry that we’re too far gone now. Even if Trump were to be re-elected, we better hope the House and the Senate have a GOP majority and a pragmatic one at that. Some of the GOP defectors we currently have in office are no better than Pelosi.

I’d also fear mass rioting even though most of the country knows Trump was right on the issues. As Hyp mentioned, too many people (Republicans and moderates included) dislike him personally. For instance, Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney have made despicable remarks about the Don and they should certainly know better! (I’ve always wondered what her father thinks.)

  3. I don’t know, I know people who feel so strongly about his personality that I’m not sure they’d ever vote for him again. How asinine! I mean De Niro can yell “Fuck Trump! ( à propos of WHAT, btw: I mean did Trump push some anti-thespian legislation?) but WE can’t even say Let’s go Brandon! Because the Left knows what that REALLY fooling them…duh. I think the polls show that almost all Republicans want him to run again, but a sizable number aren’t sure he could win.
Against Biden, actually I think he could. I mean what accomplishments can Ol Jo[k]e claim? Unless things look up—a lot—before 2024, Trump could just cite the stats from 2019.
Also I’m SURE he’d beat Harris. Sexism has its uses.
And I know it seems inevitable that one of them will be the Dem candidate in 2024, but somehow I don’t believe it.

    1. Mikey; you are my respected historian so I need some facts and analysis here. Pls give me some definitive reasons why you think this.

      1. Lizzie, it’s more of a gut feeling than anything else. But it a feeling backed by historical precedent.

I am reminded of what Patton said in a speech to the Third Army in 1944: “Americans love a winner. Americans will not tolerate a loser. Americans despise cowards. Americans play to win all of the time. I wouldn’t give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That’s why Americans have never lost nor will ever lose a war; for the very idea of losing is hateful to an American.”

Under the fraudulently elected Biden administration, America is losing and losing continually. Americans will not stand for it. We never have. We never will.
