Thai Chicks Follow Simon Wherever He Goes :)

Recently, I had the honor and the pleasure of meeting Simon in person, and about five minutes later, a cute Thai chick popped up out of nowhere.

Well, not exactly out of nowhere-we decided to get Thai food and drove up to a Thai food truck. To my amazement, Simon began to banter with the Thai chick behind the counter in fluent Thai. I struggle with Spanish, so I was very impressed with the ease Simon displayed in speaking Thai-and the cute Thai chick was impressed too. I knew that Simon kind of sort of knew some Thai, but I had no idea how well he spoke it until I saw it with my own eyes.

After years of knowing Simon online and hearing about Thai chicks, it was wonderful to be with both Simon and a Thai chick at the same time. She laughed and giggled and flirted with him for some time, although at one point a fight almost broke out when she told him that her boyfriend was Army, and he compared Army guys to lady boys. My Dad was Army. I assured the Thai chick that she didn’t need to pay attention to Simon’s claims about Army guys, and the three of us had a good laugh.

It didn’t occur to me to take any pictures, but as I write this post, I wish I had taken a picture of the three of us-Simon, the Thai chick, and me. That moment in time was like a story book come to life.

It was awesome to finally meet you, Simon, and I look forward to seeing you again 🙂
