Being here is a boon to me . It’s on my list of gratitudes this Thanksgiving. As you know, these posts are the only way I can communicate with you. (But even that has proved salutary because I’ve learned all about wombats: they’re herbivorous marsupials whose pouch is upside down and whose dung comes out cube-shaped! ) “The world is so full of a number of things/I think we should all be as happy as kings! ” (R.L. I’m writing to say I hope everyone posts about their Thanksgiving feasts. You could not say anything about this holiday which wouldn’t interest me! I want to be able to picture you each, preparing, celebrating. I would be ravished by descriptions of the table decor, the company!
I’ve entertained the same set of guests (in addition to my family) for……8? 9? Thanksgivings now. I consider each feast a jewel in a gleaming memory strand, precious to me, worn near my heart all year.
One year I dreamed about a good friend who had died. Of course as we always do, I asked, “Where have you been?” I have never gotten an answer, except this time: my friend answered “Thanksgiving”.
Which I reckon was my way of reminding me that this holiday is pretty close to my idea of Paradise!
And I wish peace and comfort and plenty for all of you. And: tell me about it!

My Thanksgiving meal may consist mainly of the two legged shaved tail variety. Am guessing that any pics would not be of the family-friendly variety.

Can I simply say what a relief to find someone who truly understands what they are talking about on the internet. You definitely understand how to bring a problem to light and make it important.
