All Hail King George!

George Strait, that is. If you were a country music fan who came of age in the ’80s and ’90s, as I was, you remember that Strait dominated the country music charts during those decades.

Back in 2013, country recording artist Kyle Park released a tribute song to Strait titled “Fit For The King”:

And it is. I don’t know if I’ve ever heard the perfect country music song during my lifetime, but this one comes mighty close. The song’s lyrics are made up almost entirely of the titles of George Strait’s chart-topping hits, of which there are a multitude.

Well done, Mr. Park. I raise a glass of bourbon in salute.
