High Heels and Old Age

Earlier today, I was wandering around a department store, and i spotted the cutest pair of high heels. Thinking that it might lift my spirits to buy them, I tried them on, only to realize that I can’t walk in heels that high anymore. They were the cutest shoes.

I have no right to complain. AT 55, I am possibly the healthiest person I have ever known, and I have no right to be. But I have my father’s feet, meaning, my feet are aging more quickly than the rest of me.

I can still wear 2 inch heels-it’s just the really high 3 inch heels that have become impossible to walk in. Sigh 😦

  1. I’m making sure that whoever is prepping me to go Home has a pair of high heels on hand for me: Hi-heeled sneakers it shall be. 😀

    1. I have no right on earth to complain about anything, but that doesn’t stop me, lol 🙂 I forgot that I even wrote this post 🙂

      1. JaC, thanks for the reminder that little joys like window shopping are a preview of total joy to come. I’m glad that you encounter and recognize those on a daily basis.
