A few days ago, I placed an ad on Craigslist offering house cleaning services. I made the catastrophic mistake of saying that I was friendly. And most of those responding to that ad are looking for a prostitute. There doesn’t seem to be a way to edit the ad.
I have connected with a couple of legitimate clients who really were looking for a house cleaner so the ad wasn’t a total waste of time, but Craigslist waters are difficult to navigate. I kind of knew that prostitutes pretending to be housecleaners was a thing but had no idea how prevalent it is. I feel like I just fell off a turnip truck. 🙂
