It has become very clear in recent weeks that all or virtually all prominent people who appear on television and the internet are just actors putting on a show. Donald Trump spent over a decade telling us that he wanted to save America, and many of us believed him, right up until the moment when he ripped his mask off and told us what he really thinks.
Unfortunately, Trump is far from the only one. All of virtually all prominent people on both sides are total frauds, and a fair number of people who aren’t prominent are also frauds, but most of them have not yet ripped off their mask in the dramatic way that Trump did. Most of these people just continue to put on the show. Most of them are pretending that everything is normal and that nothing has changed. Do they really believe that they can somehow lull people into “moving on” from the Epstein scandal? Or are they just laughing at us? Or are they basically Nero, fiddling as America burns?
We are witnessing a level of evil that I never knew was possible. Say what you will about Nero, but he was only one man. No one is surprised or shocked when one man or a very small group of people turn out to be deranged lunatics capable of horrific evil. That is the story of life on planet earth, but to see such a large group of people, most of whom don’t even know each other, all totally cooperating to destroy their own country? The world has never seen this before.
All they are, and all they ever have been, are actors spinning a totally fictitious account of everything.
Americans have been given a front row seat in this horror show. We have seen so many brilliant actors, but Victor Davis Hanson is in a league of his own. Of all the lying liars we have witnessed in our lives, Victor Davis Hanson is the best liar. Nobody else comes close.
For many years, he has been appearing on television as a deeply thoughtful and caring man who loved his country and his fellow citizens. For many years, We were told that he was both a great intellectual and a farmer who came from humble beginnings and had close ties to normal people. I was completely taken in by that story and by his caring, thoughtful demeanor.
So, about half an hour ago, as I was perusing you tube, Victor Davis Hanson crossed my mind, and I decided, with a combination of hope and dread to see what he is saying now. I hoped that he would be speaking truth. He isn’t.
I didn’t even watch any of his videos. Going by the headlines, it’s all just conservative boiler plate rubbish, praising Trump and attacking democrats. It all makes me sick to my stomach. I am no angel. I cannot claim that I have always lived in truth, but this level and degree of lying makes my head explode.
I am not going to share any videos of VDH here. Those who want to see him lie can go to you tube. I am going to share a song instead. To those who are feeling hopeless or depressed or scared, my message is, don’t lose hope. I have no idea what the future holds, but we are called to walk by faith, and that is what we must do.
