The Simonettes already know this but my golf course, Santiburi Chiang Rai, is considered one of the top 100 in the world. Don’t take my word for it, it is in the book.
Anyway, now that I have a shiny new smart-phone I am going to attempt something new and up/download pics in real time today during the annual members appreciation day.
The timing is great because the course is in almost perfect condition in anticipation of the high season for tourism. The weather is nice as well until March. By April the heat is nearly unbearable for yours truly and my Scottish DNA.
Unless I get blind drunk do not expect any 19th Hole pics of my *Candi.
*Candy with an I (AKA: Candi) is the nickname the girl who recently broke my heart gave to all caddies.

P.S. Off to hit a few on the driving range & putting green before the shotgun tee off at noon (local).

Santiburi Country Club – Top 100 Golf Courses
https://www.top100golfcourses.com/golf-course/santiburi-chiang-rai
Below is the first paragraph of the short and highly accurate description from the book: Top 100 Golf Courses in the World.
Close to the city of Chiang Rai, in the Thai northwest, lies one of Thailand’s most highly polished golf courses. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr and opened for play in 1992, Santiburi Country Club – named after Santi Bhirombhkadi, club owner – is not only one of the best-conditioned courses in the country, it’s also one of the most exclusive, semi-private clubs.

Just a reminder that (God willing) there will be no ‘artistic’ pics of Candi.

I definitely want to see some pics. My father golfed 7 days a week at his club and had a small putting green installed in his residence.

My Dad didn’t golf, but my Uncle-Colonel was a fixture at his local club, after retiring from the USMC – he thrived on it. (Learned to play – quite well – while in the Corps, actually.)

The caddies look like they are bundled up for a winter’s day. I assume this is to protect from spending all day, every day in the sun? That is hard work, I hope they are paid well.

Hola! Late to the party, but it’s lunchtime here, so timing is perfect….YUM! The course is so gorgeous, how do you concentrate on your game?! The young lady is lovely – she is a delight for the eyes, period.
How many participants? Did you enjoy? Looks like a perfect day all around….Thanks for the invitation! (When will they decorate the lobby for Christmas visitors? I’d enjoy seeing Thai-style decorations, please/thank you?)
Mass online today; taking you all with me…Back soon.
