Unbounded II

What is, more than fame and fortune, the focus of the curious crowd’s unwanted attention?

What is that one thing which is envied, hated, attacked, and when vulnerable destroyed by the mob?

What is always content and perpetually at ease?

We cannot take our eyes off if it. We hate it because it does as it pleases and yet is progressive.

Genius walks amongst us never knowing peace, solitude or repose because we wallow blissfully in our ignorance and will not abide that which we cannot understand.

    1. It came to me when I was alone in my apartment in Manila last year. It may be about me but I hope I am not that much in love with myself. I think it is more about how we learn to hate and envy genius and originality. Not necessarily the human that possesses both but we hate ‘genius’ itself. Then again, maybe it is nothing more than a egomaniacs self-portrait.

Regardless of all that, I wrote it. LOL

The secret my petite, pulchritudinous pugilist, is to always win. The problem with always winning is that it inevitably leads back to being envied and hated. That is why I used to sometimes let my Marines beat me when we competed. Please don’t tell them.

    1. My Supreme Court Clerk former girlfriend noted that too. She used to tell me something like, “You always win!”
I think she was amazed by how I could almost always take lemons and turn them into lemonade.

Being a winner will help you remain content and at ease while ignoring the losers who are trying to bring you down to their level of acrimony and low self-esteem.
