Blue Skies and Dandelions

Today was the first day it was warm enough for me to wear flip flops; this may not be exciting for most people, but it is for me, I am so glad that Spring is finally here πŸ™‚

Most of the trees are still bare…..
But the grass is green and the dandelions are out πŸ™‚

  1. O dandelion! Rich and haughty,/King of village flowers!
Each day is coronation day:/ you have no humble hours,”

(Forgive me if I already posted that; it’s the only dandelion poem I know.) Beautiful pictures!

    1. I am from a family of people who are not super conscientious about our lawns: as long as the lawn is mowed, we feel that we have done our job. We consider dandelions to be flowers πŸ™‚ Luckily most of our neighbors feel the same way πŸ™‚

  2. Wearing flip flops is no longer exciting- it is de rigueur. I have problems with any close-toed shoes now other than Ugh boots because my foot has widened. I own a dozen pairs of “slaps” (as Californians refer to them).

I fear I’ve gone truly native. All those lovely Pradas just sitting in my closet …

      1. They are surely a source of entertainment for this ex- city girl. I was warned beforehand at how domesticated they can become but never, ever, did I expect to wake up the other morning with a nose pressed up against my bedroom window waiting for breakfast.

It really was quite humorous; my doe was so trusting but expectant.
