A Republic, if you can keep it.

If the majority of people rise up? Nobody, or virtually nobody will try to subdue them. Problem is, with things like this, it’s almost never a clear majority: we often hear it said that at the time of the Revolution, 1/3 of Americans wanted to stay with England, 1/3 wanted independence, and 1/3 didn’t care either way. The percentage of Americans who really care about freedom probably hasn’t changed much since then-it may actually have gotten a little better, but are there enough of us for a clear majority of us to engage in an uprising? Not yet, and maybe not ever.

It wouldn’t happen that way: there would be pockets of opposition here and there, and depending on the issues and the people involved, those pockets may or may not inspire others to follow suit; in most places, the police would probably stay out of it, or mostly out of it, but in some places they wouldn’t. But none of this really matters, because as it stands right now, many police departments are just refusing to enforce the rules: the problem isn’t use of force by the police, of which there has been virtually none, the problem is that TPTB are fining businesses and taking away their liquor licsences, and putting people through beuaracratic hell: in some places, I have heard that they are threatening to cut off utilities to businesses that defy them? This isn’t a fight between the citizenry and the military/police: this is a fight between citizens and beauracrats. Those beauracrats do not seem to understand how much they are hated by most in the military and police forces.

There was one bearacrat in NYC who literally said to somebody, recently, “I don’t give a rat’s ass about your cops” I find it very difficult to picture the police attacking other Americans in order to do that woman’s bidding-it is also very difficult to picture the military or the police attacking other Americans in order to do Hillary Clinton’s bidding. A few of them in a few places might-who knows? But in general, I just can’t picture it. And considering that leftists have sworn off guns, if the military and the police whom they despise so much don’t rise to their defense, they’re toast. They stand no chance whatsoever.

      1. I don’t believe the US military would turn on their fellow Americans but most armies seem to be quite willing to do so in the rest of the world (see today’s Hong Kong) so one never knows. My guess is the Ruling Class does not want a civil war although BHO was trying to stoke a race war.

The problem is most Americans have mortgages and children. The Ruing Class can make each of us bend to its will by lawfare. Case in point is the $2K fine imposed on the NJ gym owner. How many brave patriots will defend their Constitutional Rights if it means jail time, bankruptcy, and their own children going hungry?

The Ruling Class is ignorant but not stupid. They are not going to give up their lofty perches with accompanying unearned prestige and privilege without a fight. We are all prisoners now of an unelected, unaccountable, out of control bureaucratic state. They have enough henchmen in the IRS, FBI, CIA, and their State level equivalents to be the terror that knocks on one’s door in the dead of night.

Nice weather we’re having, isn’t it?

      2. What you say is totally true, I am just hoping that both the Chi Coms and the ruling class in America have jumped the gun, and made it possible for us to dodge a bullet: their behavior has been unreal, and I am just hoping that the scales are falling from enough Americans’ eyes.

  1. In India, police are used as a private army by many politicians. The armed forces are still apolitical and least corrupt. That is the reason that the people of India show the utmost faith in the forces during any crisis.
