Don’t Believe Your Lying Eyes

Black Lives Matter held a protest yesterday in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. This does not bode well: Great Barrington is a very small town in the middle of nowhere, miles from anywhere. Press clips describing the event absolutely gushed about how incredibly peaceful it was. Not mentioned was the fact that during the protest, someone attempted to burn the police station down, but according to my sources, they were “stopped real quick”. My sources (who are closely tied to police in the area) also say that many or most of the protesters were not local, but had come in from New York. You won’t read that in the press clips either.

This is just stuff that I have heard, and I find it easy to believe. I wasn’t there: I can’t prove it. But just as I was sitting down to write this post, the Mayor of D.C. appeared on television claiming that the events of the past week in D.C. have been peaceful. Got that? Everything you have seen with your own eyes over this past week has been totally, amazingly peaceful. The looting didn’t really happen, the buildings didn’t really burn. The people who have been killed in these riots don’t exist: they don’t matter. Even the ones who were black don’t matter.

So much for Black Lives Matter.

  1. A priest-friend recently posted a video-clip: An older chair-mobile woman in NYC, surrounded by a mob – including children – hitting her about the head, pulling her chair into an alley, despite other bystanders urging that she be left alone. (I realize stuff like this can be manipulated, but it’s the grist of nightmares for yours truly.) Vulnerable lives still don’t matter, do they?

      1. I’ll see if it’s on his timeline/call him to see about where to find it….Wait one, please/thanks?

      2. Ok, I just watched the clip: OMG. That’s all I can say: OMG, I cannot believe that I just saw what I just saw

      1. What I am trying to say is that Floyd was a fraudster. His killing is not justified but there are many innocent people who get brutalized by police, across the globe, daily. So why not fight for those innocent people and not a fraudster.

      2. What that police officer did to George Floyd should never happen to anyone. Thing is, everyone agrees about that, so what exactly is being protested here?

These rioters either dont know or dont care what the rest of the world is like. By the luck of the draw, they were Blessed to be born in America, but they dont appreciate it, and they have no interest in helping people in other places who have it a lot worse than they do. Leftist Americans are the worst, and they are such an embarrassment.

      3. Why not fight for the 1,511 black-on-black homicides that have occurred in Chicago from 2013-2020?

Three block radius. All weapons bought illegally.

Leave cops alone and the NRA. They ain’t the problem.

      4. Because not all Black lives matter: the only people of any color who matter are those who die in politically expedient ways.

  2. I still win with the video of white Columbia University students looting and vandalizing stores in the upper West Harlem campus swathed in Black Lives Matter clothing.

Too bad the stores were all black-owned.

    1. đŸ™‚ Not a competition, Liz; just another reminder of who the truly vulnerable are, and how toxic hypocrisy can be – as is your example. As you said: “You can’t make this stuff up.”

      1. Agree totally….Talk about counter-productive! Somewhere, the Founders – and Rev. Dr. King – are shaking their heads in consternation and disbelief.

  3. I just learned from my sources that there were many people arrested in Great Barrington on Saturday, but news clips said “No violence, no arrests.” A blatant lie. They also tried to burn down the police station in Northampton MA, where many people were also arrested, but again, the media totally lied and proclaimed “No violence, no arrrrests.”
