NAZIs were far right? (redux)

Jordan Peterson (JP) with whom I almost never disagree takes it as a given that the NAZIs were right wingers? I cannot see how this is possible.

Have every intention of taking a few days/ weeks/ months and/ or years to prove my hero and the savior of The Patriarchy, JP, wrong on just this topic.

A party (NAZI) with the word socialism in their name and that was anti-western democracy shows us how things get ‘out of control’ under the rule of the far right?

I am not buying – thank you very much.

  1. It’s disturbing because it means he thinks, or is implicitly assuming, that racism is a characteristic of the Right. I don’t think it is. Look what happened to Jews in USSR.

  2. The Nazis were considered to “the right” in their day because they were anti-Communist. However, they managed to murder a substantial portion of the European population who were prosperous and accomplished in business.

Both systems – Fascism and Communism – are simply different labels with thinly disguised attempts to control the economy.

  3. Anarchists – the Russian Social Revolutionaries who represented the peasant class and Bolsheviks — both Anarchists and Communists — left wing Socialists.
