  1. Great post; esp the remark regarding Roe v. Wade. I’m with this guy; who cares?
We’re all trying to get ahead. Period.

So glad you’re on this site, Jac!

  2. The effing Lefty assholes are winning. I love seeing things like this, but I have no hope. Even Rasmussen has Biden up 12. I just can’t believe it. When did my America die?

      1. You are right about the polls Jac, but this time I have a bad feeling. Too many disasters have struck America (Covid, street violence, riots, rampaging and pillaging) which have affected Trump’s earlier impact on the economy and his greatest strength.

It’s interesting that many Americans seem to think the President is solely accountable for everything in every state.

Notice the difference between 9/11 and Katrina. That was all about local government. Haley Barbour and Rudy G saved the day for their states but Mayor Nagin and Governor Blanco in New Orleans made it worse.

Why do we have governors, mayors, state legislatures? What do they do all day if not deal effectively with these kinds of things? Giuliani wouldn’t have dreamed of blaming 9/11 on W; he simply asked for federal money and the National Guard, got them and used them effectively to stabilize a disastrous mess. Blanco refused federal help from day one, costing additional blood and treasure.

The Americans who think the President is to blame for everything were never going to vote for him anyway. I really think that in a fair election, Trump will win no problem. The mail in ballots are making me very nervous, though.

Interesting thought; I brought it up because I seem to be surrounded by nothing but Nevers outside the Internet. Of course many of my EX-friends are rich, suburban housewives and I spent many years in CA and NYC.

Maybe I’ve developed a persecution complex.

      2. Liz, I am so sorry for what you have gone through with old friends. I live in a working class area of Western Mass; in my home town of Chicopee, there are Trump signs everywhere. I live now in a neighborhood that is 1/3 or 1/2 black, and have had a Trump flag on my front porch for a week. I didn’t expect it to last a day, but a week later, it’s still there, and no one has given me any trouble.

Trump will never win Western Mass, but even so, the people here who like him really really like him. And the people who hate him are the same people who always hate whoever the republican is.

      3. Jac, thanks so much for the empathy but fortunately my disappointment has been replaced by disdain and outrage at the stupidity of people with pretty impressive IQs and educations. Anger motivates me so it isn’t all that bad!

Again, you have no idea how much I appreciate your Common Sense.

  3. Polls, schmolls, there’s only one of those that counts: 11/3/20. Wait ‘til all the “Walk Away” folks are heard from…..
