“Clearly, if cases are rising exponentially while we are under lockdown and wearing masks everywhere with no entertainment, physical activity, schooling for our children, family gatherings, social events or other forms of human normalcy, what we need is more curfew. A stricter, stronger one – one that is much, much, much more punitive ‘coz our leaders have seen that there’s not quite enough misery, not quite enough human wreckage, suicides, bankruptcies and overdoses. There’s just not enough despair yet, people! Not enough bodies and spirits have been crushed yet by a Thousand Chinese Communist Cuts so the evil, spineless goons governing us are going to put the screws to us even harder and squeeze and squeeze and squeeze.”
Had to share.
Just have to comment that I live in a state rated #20/50 in terms of Covid deaths even though we have the highest percentage of seniors living here in the nation.
Things I love about my state and the American spirit:
1. My hairdresser kept her salon open by allowing one customer in at a time when she normally has 10-12 at any given hour. At the time, this was illegal but her husband is a detective and kept his eye on the parking lot!
2. My manicurists bought plastic shields that they installed on the desks with a small opening for hands. Customers wear masks and wash their hands once during a manicure and twice if they’re doing both a mani/pedi.
Well, hell, I can tolerate any illness if my roots are colored and my nails are filed. Governor DeSantis was well aware of some of these activities, btw, and didn’t even go there. Love him!

This is so true. They’re doubling down on a demonstrably failed strategy. I think that’s the definition of insanity, innit?

The strategy isn’t failing for them. From their perspective, it’s working.

Mr. M. Stein, like Mr. Ben Stein, knows how to get to the heart of the matter, but definitely.
