I have been confused with this mantra on the Left about what happened in DC last Wednesday: why concentrate on how differently the Capitol Police might have reacted if the activists(s ( thats what Dems call the trespassers they like, such as the ones who occupied the Hart Building during theKavanaugh hearings) had been BLM rioters?
But now I see! They’re police, so natcherly,, they’re all white supremacists like the rest of the MAGA crowd! How could I have been so dense?
But then I got to thinkin’: on Jan 20, there will be 10,000 armed troops in DC. ( Wow, more than we have in Afghanistan. That’s the kinda force it’s gonna take to install a president the people didn’t choose! )
What are the political sympathies of the rank’n’ file likely to be?
Certainly they have no reason to love the Left!
Trump is the one who strengthened the military, took care of veterans, brought many of our troops home.
If the Capitol Police were subverted (or rather, rightly-guided)—
is it possible the troops might be similarly predisposed?

You hit the nail on the head, Hypatia. This is why they want to destroy the military, defund the police, and take all of our guns away. The only way their transexual army can ever prevail against us is if they have all the guns, and we have none. They want to drive real men out of the military and law enforcement, replace them with transexuals, and make sure that the non cis gendered are the only ones who are armed. It’s the only way they have any chance in the long run.

Well, leftists have stated outright they want to destroy police and military, and make sure that no private American citizen can own a firearm. They want to be the only ones who are armed.
I was exaggerating a little with the reference to transexuals, but at this point, anybody who wants to be one of their goons can be fairly described as gender neutral, I think.

Simon, do you think there’s any chance those 10K troops might come over to the MAGA side? I know a lot of the top brass is Leftist, for some reason, but what about the troops?

1. Our military is under civilian authority as directed by the Commander-in-Chief. We know the Progz have no shame when it comes to gaining and maintaining command authority. I would like to see President Trump call the Pentagon’s bluff and see on whose side they fall.
2. The troops of my era would have followed what they believed to have been lawful orders. We may have a go along to get along mentality in our ranks now which is becoming of ours as well as all other banana republics.

The Army is “Investigating” an officer who led a group to President Trump’s rally in the Capitol. Even before this, some months ago, she received a “career ending letter” and resigned. Now, she is being investigated.
