Sometimes my knees wanted a break from catching and my coach would let me play left field. I had good wheels for a catcher.

I just showed my husband your post and MLR’s video. We are now in a fight!
He thought Rose’s “sack” was unnecessary but I responded, “Guess you should boycott the NFL and especially the NHL.”

But seriously, I think I am with your husband if I even understand the debate here. What happens in the NFL, NHL, NBA, and all real sports is people get hurt. Rose should not have gone all-in on a play at the plate in an All-Star Game. Charlie Hustle apparently did not know when to dial it back.

Charlie claims he didn’t have a path to the bag otherwise but as a catcher yourself, I can understand your misgivings. I didn’t appreciate it when Lawrence Taylor “jack-knifed” Joe Theismann and ruined his career forever either.
