When I wake up I glance at American Thinker, American Greatness, Powerline. This morning is the bleakest prospect I’ve yet encountered. Everyone has given up hope. It’s just a catalog of the many, many ways in which we’re losing. It is a dumpster of despair.
It’s like Ol’ JoKe is Trump’s evil twin: “So. Much. LOSING, America! You’re gonna be TIRED of losing! You’re gonna say, please, please, Mr President, can’t we just win something?”
What seems to have happened is that McConnel tried to offer a deal: he would “carve out” time to “try” Trump, sometime later in February, if the Dems would take elimination of the filibuster (and maybe court-packing) “off the table”. Lindsey Graham was on Hannity the night before, looking scared, saying he was hopeful about McConnel’s “good plan”.
Mais non! Pelosi, who had been siting on the Article of Impeachment (that sounds weird in the singular, doesn’t it, like “Bill of Right” or sump’n..) like a broody biddy, at once announced her intention to cluck the nation by dropping her nest egg off at the Senate first thing Monday morning.
So here’s the only bright spot: Schumer sanctimoniously announcing that now Congress would have to decide “whether Donald Trump incited the erection”.
Yuk yuk yuk, bad luck, Chuck you schmuck!
He doesn’t even have the excuse that he meant to say “election”; I’m s’prised that doesn’t happen all the time, just like in print the most common typo is “pubic” for “public”. No, he was goin’ for the Dems’ new favorite word: insurrection.
Oh and they also love “siege”. That word refers to a military tactic in which hostile forces surround a citadel or city for weeks, month, years, and starve the denizens into submission. On Jan 6, the “siege” was conveniently scheduled to begin and end in between lunch and dinner.

And we might as well laugh, although our laughter is as the crackling of thorns under a pot, like the Good Book sez.
Cuz Ol’JoKe, with one pen stroke, just put our republic in a choke: illegal aliens will now be counted in the census, meaning the sanctuary cities and counties will get more representatives in Congress! See how that works? That measure alone eliminates the need for the Dems to rig their next erection—er, election, pardon me 🤭….
