We are now, all of us, about to be offered up as human sacrifices to the Great Goddess Gaia.

It is only fitting, we’ve HURT her so, our planetary Mommie Dearest!

We dared to want to be warm, so we built fires that burnt trees and polluted her air—and then, we actually dug into her, bled her! for fuel to power our enterprises and build shelters against her charming caprices of blistering heat, deadly cold, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods.

I mean, okay, we needed that stuff because She created us furless, fangless, hoofless . If we were gonna survive at all as a species, we had no choice but to clothe ourselves with other animals’ fur, arm ourselves with weapons fashioned of their teeth and bone.

Do you think the Goddess Gaia, or Mother Earth, or Mother Nature—or whatever title we are now to assign Her Worship,—gives a feather, a fig about the survival of our species?

“She” tried to incinerate and parch us with desert heat and drought back in Africa; we only survived that inferno because we invented wheels, tents, spears, clothing that enabled a few of us to escape to more temperate areas of mom’s body, where she could of course still torment us with cold, storms, and of course with every so often shaking her whole body like a bitch with an itch, or spewing up molten rock to be poured down on our defenseless settlements!

There is only, and only ever has been, one (1) protection against her vagaries. Ready?

Human wealth.

By which I mean physical and material prosperity, and also the vast wealth of human intelligence.

This rant was prompted by a review of a book written by some eco-terrorist who says therein, “Climate fatalism is for those at the top”. Meaning: the wealthiest can afford to say climate always has and always will change; there’s nothing we can do about it, we’ll just have to adjust. Yes, exactly! So the solution is to increase global human wealth, lift everybody out of poverty which puts them totally at abusive mom’s mercy. And remember that wealth is something created not something consumed. There is no limit to the amount of wealth which can be created—and we were well on our way to alleviating poverty worldwide!

“Were”. Cuz now in our country, we’re back in the clutches of people who believe wealth is finite, the only way to get any is by taking it from somebody else. Such a quaint idea!

But: That’s what the Green New Dealers believe, so “wealth” is what they must seek and destroy. And they are doing it. No one is to be permitted to accumulate wealth, everyone will subsist in roughly egalitarian misery. Hey, remember when McConnel put the Green New Deal to a vote. Nobody voted for it, it was widely ridiculed as the destructive and ruinous fantasy it is—or rather , was. Cuz now, as Sandy Cortez is crowing, Ol’ JoKe is docilely decreeing it into reality.

And the attacks on those wealthy in knowledge, now derisively called “The Meritocracy”.are geared to making sure that all people who presently actually know what they are doing, know what they are talking about (because they have applied themselves to study and have learned by experience) are silenced and ridiculed.

All in the name of the cult of most violent, murderous, capricious and hostile deity which humans have yet invented. A matriarchal Moloch.
