What has become most entertaining about this site (aside from the irascible ST and the interesting, educated Ettes) is the amount of likes we’re getting internationally. Sando is a classic example but he does far more than like/comment; he writes great posts and I wish the various Indian and Israeli women who “like” over here would feel free to comment. We’re interested in what you have to say. Always. Besides, we could have us a whole lot of fun!
Had a new “like” from a Welshman named Callum who loves Arsenal and that automatically allows admittance to my sports group over here. I’d love to hear more about soccer and rugby (ok, maybe not cricket) so let’s share info on those sports in addition to the NBA, NHL, NBA and MLB.
Sports is a big part of American culture and would very much like to compare notes with Euro/Asian fans. Some of our best athletes come from other countries:
- 28% of Latinos compose the MLB rosters.
- 3% of the NFL is composed of Samoans who represent 180 people stateside and 55 in America Samoa.
- 61 players from Japan play for the MLB.
I’d love to have an international sports commentary on this site!
