America’s Night-Nurse

I hope you are ALL watching Greg Gutfeld’s show weeknights at 11 PM. Hee Hee, he’s crushing the Lefty “comics” in the ratings. A laffriot! But trust me, the contrarian: Imma bring up sump’n (and no it’s not my breakfast🤢) that’s a tad more sobering.

So beautiful, creamy, soporific Dana Perino was a guest last night. Somebody brought up the intelligence agencies’ latest recruitment videos. Didja SEE ‘em? One features a Hispanic woman who boasts of Generalized Anxiety Disorder and “imposter syndrome”. ( I’m not sure whether that’s supposed to be an asset. I’d think in a spy, it would be, right, don’t they always pretend to be sump’n they’re not? ).
Anyway: Nurse Dana, whose latest book is called Everything Will Be Okay (no, really, that’s the title! ) said that the aforementioned ad was aimed at recruiting Hispanic women. The CIA is worried about Russian operations in South America and it needs people who can go down there and blend in. She said sump’n like “they wouldn’t spend the money if they didn’t know what they were doing “. (riiiight: tell it to United Fruit!)

Ok then , who is that cartoon about the girl raised by 2 mommies aimed at? Do they, maybe, wanna recruit lesbians who can go under the covers with Tammy Bruce and Caitlyn Jenner? Dana didn’t tell us.

Well, she wouldn’t wanna upset us so close to our bedtime. She kinda reminded me of “The Old Lady Whispering Hush” in the great children’s book Goodnight Moon.

BTW, did you hear that we can’t call it the moon anymore? Apparently,mthats now “Earth Supremacist”, or sump’n…no, it’s now to be called a “co-planet”, or maybe “companion planet”, as if we had formerly called it Earth’s pet..)

But back to Goodnight Moon; I love that book! I think I liked it more than my daughter did. The idea of falling asleep in a big, warm room with a glowing fire, while a trusted adult sat by wakeful, occasionally uttering a soothing “Hush”. Everything will be okay.

Well I hope Dana’s faith in the CIA and FBI isn’t misplaced. But I’m getting sleepy…I suspect she slipped sump’n into the mush…
