Some new blood on the Bush political scene is Governor Jeb Bush’s son George P. He’s running for Attorney General in Texas as an open supporter of Trump policies. He of course supported his father during the 2016 primary but after the selection was made raised $1.5 million dollars for the Trump campaign!
A reporter asked him, “Does anybody in your family speak to you anymore?” He responded, “I am my own man and my family respects that.”
Good answer, GP! And best of luck with your upcoming campaign.
Interestingly, I’ve always liked him since he was a very young man because he took his grandmother’s advice to heart:
“You have no business running for political office until you’ve worked a minimum of 10-15 years in the private sector.” (Y’all know that’s music to my ears.) 🙂
GP was a teacher for some time and then practiced law for several years. He’s “seasoned” and I sense he no longer feels the pressure of his presidential and gubernatorial relatives.

I’ve been hopeful about “George P.” for many years….He may, one day, convince me to re-register as a Republican. (Though the party doesn’t seem to notice that I left them during Reince’s reign….I still get mail and robo-calls.) 🙂

Not a chance, Liz, I’m just a bit more ‘stealthy’ about it than I once was. 🙂
