The Left is beginning to remind me of that battle in Monty python and the Holy Grail, where the challenger gets one arm lopped off, then the other—and still taunts our hero to have at it. Even when both legs are gone, he just…keeps up the trash talk.
For our side, Trump has cut off Mueller, the Jan 6 impeachment, and most recently the great Lefty hope, the terrible Cyrus Vance and the SDNY. BFD, a few allegedly delinquent taxes.
But like Monty Python’s belligerent quadruple amputee, they simply ignore any and every loss, and keep on blustering as if they’re winning!
Trump acquittal #1. Trump acquittal # 2. Trump proven right about the Wuhan lab leak. Vance announces Trump will not be charged after, what, 3 years of investigations? AND after they won access to his tax returns.
But like Monty Python’s Black Knight, they’re still squirming around on the ground in their own blood, taunting their opponent and insisting they can win.
Question is: do WE have any champion who can, and will, deliver the coup de grâce?

Thanks, dear Hyp, for differentiating Progs/The Left from true liberals, as Dennis Prager and others suggest. We need to take the word back. Sadly, though, because of the tendency of unredeemed humanity toward unenlightened self-interest and self-gratification, we may have the Left among us for some while. Perhaps we can attempt a coup de grâce of our own, by praying and living out a life of grace and truth? Look at the “Walk Away” movement before and during the last 3 elections (2016/2018/2020). Maybe we can raise a champion this way? Does David, the shepherd ring a bell? As Someone has promised, “33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” [Jn. 16:33]

VDH has a great piece on Am Greatness today. He thinks the Dems have sown the wind and will reap a whirlwind of defeat in 2022. I hope he’s right.

I am having a very hard time believing that Biden would be opposed to winning by corrupt means if necessary. That he got +80 million votes boggles my incredulity.
