Boy … do I like Governor DeSantis, Marco Rubio and Miami Mayor Suarez for their support of the uprising happening in Cuba right now as Biden continues to stress that they shouldn’t be allowed in illegally!
(As opposed to the M-13 gangs banging their way through the borders of CA, TX, AZ.)
As a Florida native, I’m quite familiar with the work ethic and appreciation of capitalism that Cubans have historically nurtured. Read a biography on Havana in the 1950s; the Vegas of the SE! I would like to allow them in under the rule of law but more importantly, I want to reduce the billions of foreign aid that goes to Haiti, Dominican Republican, Mexico, El Salvador and any Arabic nation to help those who suffer 90 miles from Miami.
Remember Cuba was settled by Spanish explorers and natives maintain a Western sensibility. These are the types of immigrants who can contribute!
Full disclosure: my very skilled and hard working hairdresser escaped from Havana with most of his family members and none of the “socialites” in town could imagine life without him. π
His stories about growing up in Cuba are hair-raising (no pun intended)!

The Puerto Ricans get a bad wrap for reason and should be set free, but I believe their fighting units have acquitted themselves above and beyond the call of duty as front-line troops.
I think one of their National Guard units during WW II just took a beat down and kept on slugging.
Remember Gunny Hernandez: “Nothings imp0ssible, sir, for them who ain’t got to do it.”
