As an addendum to Bongino’s commentary last night in which he remarked that “a swath of Afghani soldiers” were illiterate, my husband simply commented that there is a top and a bottom to the food chain and these people do not have what it takes to build a prosperous nation.
The “woke” are asleep because they do not understand that even in the animal kingdom, only the cunning and the educated survive. Let’s get our people out and move on.
On that note, I don’t want to hear one word about Haiti. They certainly have geographical problems and as a Floridian and ex-Californian, nobody understands this better than I. But that country has failed to develop the economic infrastructure to protect themselves. If I didn’t have the historical knowledge of our Revolutionary Patriots and the horrific odds they faced for success, I might begrudge some empathy.
But I don’t.
Doesn’t it occur to anybody that people in Afghanistan, or the territory WE call by that name, dont WANT to be a nation, prosperous or otherwise? It’s not their thing, ok? It was an idea we tried to impose on them and ..it didnt take.
We tried.
So, ‘bye.
As for Haiti, im still waiting for the articles about the huge humanitarian effort after the earthquake of of 2010, like: “We did it then! We can help now!” Zippo! The entire world’s, and especially Americans’, generosity after 2010 availed the Haitians nothing. Dat’s de fac’, Jack! As my father used to say, some people are very difficult to help. Yeah, especially when some other people are on scene suckin’ up the milk of human kindness meant for the victims…..I’m lookin’ @ YOU, Bill’n’Hil…..

Exactly my point! It’s a geographical mass of tribal units. Let’s play defense instead of nation building.

Why couldn’t we get ‘our’ people out of Benghazi?

That is another post entirely and because of your personal combat experience, I’d prefer for you to write it!

No one has any thoughts on why Omega did not even attempt to get our people out of Benghazi but we are going to borrow gazillions if USD to import tens if not hundreds of thousands of Afghans?
