One of my earliest memories, and maybe my earliest memory, is of my Aunt Nora teaching me the song “He Has The Whole World In His Hands” She taught me that song, and then she and I sang it for a bunch of her friends in her living room. I was 2 or 3 at the time. Aunt Nora was a wonderful woman. She died after a long illness when I was 17. I have so many wonderful memories of her, and I know that she watches over all of us.
True enough, JaC – I stake my life on it. But, I, for one, am angry and heartsick right now; grief needs to run its course. I’ll get there, but it’s gonna take a while.
I know. A Navy Seal appeared on Tucker Carlson tonight. He said that the suicide hotlines were lighting up with calls from veterans in the wake of Biden’s Afghanistan disaster. This Navy Seal gave an impassioned plea for all veterans to channel their anger and grief in a constructive way that will save America. We should all take his advice, whether we are veterans or not.
What would we ever do without Simon? Where would we be without him? I would be lost without him, and without everyone on this site. Thank God we have each other.
Lol ๐ I was exaggerating ๐ I am not always focused on you. It just seemed like a good thing to say at the time, and then I realized that it wasn’t, lol ๐
Omega went missing in action (MIA) for 13 hours and we did not send in the calvary in front of the entire world with men under fire in Benghazi.
The One We Were Waiting for showed how easy it could be to undermine US military prestige and get away with it. Biden is more clumsy but playing with the same fire he saw his boss get away with during those 8 horific years of public service as our nation’s VP.
I know. Benghazi wasn’t totally without consequences, though. Benghazi is part of what got Trump elected. Those who created the disaster in Benghazi were never held to account, but Trump did beat Hillary, partly because of Benghazi. They didn’t totally get away with it, and they won’t get away with this. Some people are slow learners, but people do tend to learn, eventually.
What is the alternative, Simon? The world is a horror show. We can either learn and maybe make it better or at least not worse, or it gets worse. If we give up, it gets worse. We can’t give up, no matter how bad it gets.

I remember that song Jac from Bible school. (Don’t faint; I did actually attend as a youngster.)

I know, Nanda. I am right there with you. I listen to these songs because I don’t how else to maintain my sanity right now.

The Biden family is winning and will continue to win.
I hear McConnell says impeachment is out. Are we that afraid of Round Heals?

McConnell is the one who will be effing out. The Biden family is on their way down, and anyone who defends them will be going down with them.

I have mentioned it before but this will not be good for reducing suicides among our veterans, not only OEF vets.

I admit to some anger management issues over all of this but this site helps immensely. It’s wonderful to be among one’s own kind.
Thank you Chengiss for bringing us together. ๐
