Remember the moment in Young Frankenstein where Igor has to confess he stole the wrong brain to put in the monster’s body? “I promise I won’t be mad,” says young Dr F, and Igor confesses that he dropped the flask the brilliant scientist’s brain was in ,so he took one labeled “Abby-something”. “Abby who?” Says the doctor, with infinite calm and patience. “Abby-normal” , Igor whispers, shuffling his feet…
Okay so what were hearing now is that last week we airlifted out of Kabul, and into our country , 120,000 Afghan men.
And only 6,000 Americans.
But, these Afghans we see in the now iconic picture jammed into the cargo planes WEREN’T “the people who helped us”, many of whom (along with a buncha Americans, I can’t be arsed to look up the latest figure they’ve floated) are still in Kabul!
All we accomplished was to bring in a huge clot of Afghan men of military age. We don’t know who they are! Simon you were so right: they were just the guys who bullied their way up front! Why bother vetting them—they’re here now and we can never deport them—y’ think the Taliban will take them back?
America:
Whose brain DID you bring us in the 2020 election?
I can’t promise you I won’t be mad.
“Simon you were so right: they were just the guys who bullied their way up front! Why bother vetting them…”
Why should our governmental planners of this NEO listen to me? They already know all that is to be known about absolutely everything and then some.
This is one time when I would have been happy to have been proven to be wrong.

Yes, sir….Being right about this must be small consolation.

I almost can not believe how fast the MSM is trying to dump this disaster down the memory hole. I have been bombarded about the Supreme Court’s ruling about the Texas abortion law and Afghanistan is already an ancient memory until it makes the news again in a 9/11 sort of too big to be ignored kind of way.

I should tell you guys sometime about the work I was doing on the Amu Darya River in August – September 2001.
On second thought, reckon I will need permission from more than just the DoD for that to ever happen.
