This is a story which was scrubbed almost immediately. As soon as the first plane hit the towers, , the mosques in NYC filled up with jubilant Muslims. Allahu akbar!
Oh, maybe, just possibly, it was suppressed at first out of fear that there would be violence against Muslims in the city (ya think?) I remember hearing that the NY Times refused to report on it for that reason.
A friend of mine who was working with the NY police at the time told me it was true, she had spoken to cops who had to protect the cheering Islamists. (But shes a Lefty, and a decade later claimed she didnt remember.)
Im writing this to ask: does anybody reading this remember hearing this story at the time?
I know it happened! i read about it, or heard about it somewhere in those first few days, I talked about it. It meant THEY kniew what was really happening while WE Americans were still wondering whether it could possibly be some awful accident.
if you remember, if you heard this at the time, PLEASE comment to let me know I’m not crazy.
Thank you and God comfort all American patriots on this day of curséd memory.
I remember reading this but I believe it was overseas in Saudi Arabia. If it was in NY, very sad.

I read and saw pictures of celebrations occurring all over the world including Europe and in certain American communities. Never read anything specifically about NYC but I would have a tendency to believe your friend.

One more thing about a NYC cover-up: I can fully believe that Mayor Giuliani didn’t need any additional trouble as he struggled (successfully) to lead his city through this terrible crisis. I hope he is speaking today; what a world class leader!

I remember the so-called Palestinians going absolutely ape shit but didn’t hear anything about muslims in NYNY at the time other than that rednecks should not go around thumping mohammedans all of the foxtrotting time.
I think we were invited to welcome mohammedans into our homes to prove how progressive bona-fides.
