  1. Well, there is that story about the Satanic verses..Y’know, the Prophet visited by what he thought was the Archangel Gabriel, who told him that Allah wasn’t alone in Paradise, he had a partner, the Great Goddess Allat. (Pronounced aLOT). The verses were expunged from the Koran (or Qu’eran, or however you wanna spell it…but to this day the false goddess has her devotes, who can be heard intoning, ā€œThanks Allatā€ā€¦..

  2. Not even gonna try to change your mind; it could have gone through the reforms Christianity and Judaism implemented from within, but chose a fatalistic, nihilistic, combative expression instead. (I still say this is heretical Christianity seasoned with the Jewish calendar and dietary laws. Also wedded to Marx in modern times, say some.) I appreciate your introducing me to Tom Holland’s work, ST.

  3. Islam is a product of one man’s whims who tried desperately to conquer the world using the alluring concept of the 72 virgins nonsense to recruit jihadists. That is only the beginning of the evil and self-serving commandments of the Qur’an. The Prophet was hardly a holy man; in fact, he reminds me of American cult leader Jim Jones in many aspects.

  4. Jesus Christ is the perfect man in the Christian world view.

Mohammad is perfection and infallible in the so-called religion of peace.

Which of these two men is the archetype of peace in your opinion? Please fully defend your answer based solely on the teachings and writings of LtCol S.x MacTemplar.

  5. We just let in ~100,000 unvetted mohammedans to make sure we drive a stake through the heart of America. There will be civil war with those willing to die to impose Sharia Law verses those who will defend our Constitution.

    I’m betting on Mohammad.

  6. “For good news decamp to a country whose Constitution does not simultaneously serve as a mutual suicide pact.”

But, in fact, our Constitution does no such thing! Why do we all blame everyone but the true villains who manipulate and misconstrue our Founders’ principles and ignore their vision?

What more could WASHINGTON, JEFFERSON, ADAMS, HAMILTON, MADISON, FRANKLIN, PAINE, et.al have done to protect our future?

      1. Today, I would agree. In fact we have hung them by ignoring the standards that many lost lives and were forced to abandon their loved ones for. I think about Abigail Adams who saw her husband every 3-4 yrs during our nation’s birth and did nothing but contribute to the cause sans whining and complaints.

We now have clueless suburban “moms” who go out of their way to undo Abigail and Dolly’s self-sacrificial work. Anyone watch the HBO miniseries on John Adams in 2008 starring my cousin Laura Linney as Abigail? What a role!

      2. I have always heard that during the American Revolution, 1/3 of Americans supported the Revolution, 1/3 opposed it, and 1/3 didn’t care. My latest google search says that the highest percentage of Americans who supported the Revolution was 45%: at no point did the percentage of those in favor rise above that. Apparently, around 10% of Americans fought for American freedom in the Revolution.

I understand your frustration, Liz, but idealizing the past will lead to despair. People who don’t give an eff are nothing new. There have always been a lot of them, everywhere, including in America. Enemies of freedom are also not a new thing in America. We have prevailed against these folks since day one, and we must continue to do that.

  7. Judy btw you could not be more wronger. Uni-students not giving a flying foxtrot about Afghanistan means everything has changed (yes, u may steal this too and carry it back to your L1 peeps {AKA ‘in-group’} but pretend I don’t exist and act again as if you came up with it all alone. Why no links back to ST Unleashed! when you purloin my ideas and courses of action?

    1. I could not be more wronger 😦 Ok. Am I wrong about the percentages of those who supported vs opposed the Revolutionary War? Real question. I just hear this stuff, and am not sure where it comes from or what it is based on.

As for college students not caring about Afghanistan. Once the draft was ended, they didn’t care about Vietnam either. The young people who protested the Vietnam war were just trying to save themselves. Once that goal was accomplished, the protests were pretty much over, even though the war continued. Or, so I have been told by at least several people, but I could be wrong about that too.

      1. I think, pray, and hope that I am right. And I am pretty sure that I am.

It cannot be stressed enough: having an idealized view of the past will lead to despair. There have always been plenty of ignorant and/or evil people in America. There probably always will be. Americans have always figured out how to work around those people, and we must continue to carry on in that effort. What else can we do?

      2. Sit and wait for your knights in white armor to save you as the always have in the past. I believe the Alinsky-ites have won. Our side is great and analyzing the various shiny objects of the day but short on doing anything other than spewing verbiage in defense of the nation that has nurtured them.

      3. Simon, I don’t want to sit and wait for anyone. I want to help. I don’t believe that it is my place to try to be a leader, for many reasons, but I am more than willing to lend my support and help to leaders like DJT and anyone else who fights for freedom.

      4. Is the snark really necessary, Simon? šŸ™‚ I am not qualified to be a leader of anything. I think you know that. But there are men out there leading whom I believe in and support. Why are you being so snarky? šŸ™‚

      5. Your plan to save America seems to be based on the hope we come to each other’s salvation but all I see is conservatives throwing each other under the bus to look more worthy to their betters I suppose.

      7. Obama took us out at the knees in Libya.

Operation SUNSHINE or something like that were the names of that fiasco. Americans said and did nothing. They are doing nothing now and DOD has jumped ship too.

    1. Fox has been reporting on the State Dept a great deal lately. Among other things, they are doing everything they can to prevent Americans from leaving Afghanistan. There are private citizens, many or most of them veterans, who are trying to get Americans out, and State is blocking them at every turn. The State Dept has totally lost all credibility.

      2. According to Fox, the State Dept is far worse than just incompetent, over educated amateurs. According to what Fox is reporting, the State Dept is downright evil and actively working against America and Americans.

      3. The FBI and DOJ also took major hits today when members of the U.S. women’s Olympic gymnastics team testified about the horrendous way in which the FBI and DOJ worked to cover up the abuse that was occurring with the team’s doctor. For those who don’t know, the doctor has been convicted of abusing countless numbers of girls. The FBI and DOJ knew about it, and covered it up.

  8. I have had the misfortune to live as a Christian Minority in a Muslim Country. By and large, they (the Muslims) are the most worthless culture to exist. They contribute nothing to society, and prefer to hide behind the veil of “if Allah wills it”. Their success and failures are simply the result of Allah’s will, so they take no responsibility.

      1. We used to soak the beef and pork patties, stir in some of that 500 year old processed cheese and Tabasco to make a field meatloaf. We used to bury the ham and cheese, figuring it made better compost. I missed the old John Wayne bars from the C’s.

I am thinking more and more of moving to Florida, or if not that yet, of selling my house, and just putting the money in the bank, so that I can be easily mobile if needs be. I am becoming more and more uncomfortable with owning property in Massachusetts. This whole situation is causing me to think that it might be best if I could just get in my car and drive South whenever I want, without anything tying me here.

Living in hurricane territory would mean making sure that I had gold plated insurance and also making sure that I had enough money in the bank at all times to decamp and go to a place where the hurricane isn’t when the hurricane comes, right? Is there anything I am missing here? I have never lived in a place with hurricanes before.
