…because I just cant get a vantage point.
Really, does ‘most everybody hate and despise the Bygone-Hapless Admin, as the polls (blessedly) (seem to show? and does it look like the GOP will sweep Congress next year?
Or are the Dems outraising us at every turn? (thats what all the political solicitations clogging my inbox say. )
will voting even matter? or are HR 1 , the DREAM Act, welfare for all, the beasts that will not die?
I reckon it’s the fog of war, but i have no idea where we are.
Are we even ON a hill, and would it be the one to die on?
If anyone out there has a clearer view, could you send me a semaphore?
To add to this, I was amazed to hear Biden is dropping precipitously in the polls BUT still has a 40% approval rating!! That’s a worrisomely high number for such a disastrous presidency, don’t you think?
Who are these uninformed voters that lead to your concern- the validity of the voting process- as well as to mine- the ability of these ignoramuses to understand the issues at all and vote outside party lines?

Change the lens, ladies! None of this matters to our daily lives. National politics is currently meaningless; all politics is *local*, never moreso than now. Look around at the gifts you both have – where you are surrounded by those you love. When you feel lost, get your local bearings back, just sayin’….

Dearest Nanda, this matters a great deal to our daily lives. About half the Chicago police force is about to resign because of vaccine mandates that are being pushed at the National level. A significant number of active duty military guys are also about to resign. Criminals are being given a free for all. People are dying because of this, and it is probably going to get worse before it gets better. I am hopeful that much of this will end with the 2022 elections, if leftists don’t totally destroy the country before then.
This does matter to our daily lives, Nanda. It very much does. I wish that it didn’t, but it does.

Excellent point but everyday I wake up to the next evil plan of the WH to destroy our country and I worry about the market. Fortunately, my clever husband saw this one coming and invested in good yet “under the radar” stocks. I did notice a lot more interest in these stocks this week which has made for a great five days but I worry what happens when Biden’s posse figures out how to destroy their earnings.
John Wayne’s got nothing on me. I am really living in a Western!

I cannot believe that the level of failure we are witnessing is an accident. If the elections are fair, the dems will never be in power again, after what they have done. That is a big If, though. I am both optimistic and paranoid. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst.

The America we’ve known lives on in our hearts/most of daily life; but we’re a banana republic at the moment, Mexico del Norte – unless the rest of the country decides to wake up.
