You are a genius on so many levels. ๐ People who don’t understand genius think that you are crazy or eccentric. You are also so brave-anyone who is a genius must be brave.
“You are also so brave-anyone who is a genius must be brave.”
I would have a tendency to believe this but I might reverse the thought: Anyone who is brave must be a genius. Bravery is about being afraid but still figuring out a way to survive.
I might disagree about eccentricity. I think that’s a good thing- we could always use more originality in our lives!
As to the question of where charm comes from? I don’t know. It comes from God, as all things do, but beyond that, I just don’t know. There are some incredibly admirable people who are just not really charming. George Washington, for instance. One of the most admirable men who has ever existed, but according to history, he was quiet and reserved and maybe even a little bit awkward. And then, there are people who are really not admirable at all, but are very charming. We have all known them. You, Simon, are both admirable and charming ๐
Mmmm. I am thinking that you are usually charmed by women? Because I do associate high IQ with charming. To me, it is almost impossible for a man to be charming if he isn’t smart.
You are neither crazy nor eccentric. You are awesome ๐

Eccentricity is oftentimes equated with genius, in my experience. ๐ผ

I do not generally associate high IQ with charming but perhaps just the opposite.

It seems people like L!’s fave son, BDB, got zero charm when God was handing that commodity out. How does that happen? Maybe from a lack of hardship?

Judy, I think few successful politicians in our post-modern world are geniuses because genius more often than not alienates people.

You may well be right about that. Most politicians are not charming either.

Survival requires Crazy. Crazy requires obscure. Obscure requires ambiguous. Ambiguous requires complicated. Complicated requires esoteric. Esoteric requires mysterious. So…I am not crazy, I am mysterious.
