The Glory That Was Halloween

(just as an aside lemme say that for some reason typing on this site i is wonky. … ..I.t freezes up for seconds, and it doesnt capitalize after periods. and doesnt insert the apostrophes in words like “doesnt”and i cant be arsed to go back and do it. So sorry…)

Any way what i wanna tell you is that a guest on Greg Gutfeld (without whom i could not survive the 2021 shitshow) made such a good point about Halloween:

kids know the difference between fantasy and reality. adults dont.

Adults used to know. This whole anti-Halloween hysteria started with fanatic Christians worrying about devil and witch costumes, remember? i can imagine how my father and grandfather, devout Christians both, would have reacted to the idea that wearing a cheap mask could endanger a kid’s immortal soul. ”It’s just a little piece of plastic!” i can hear them snorting dismissively.

Now of course, the woke dont worry about the fact that wearing a demon or witch costume might turn a kid into a demon or witch; they worry that wearing a costume of ANY kind might turn the kid into a bigot.

Hey i wonder if a little boy can still dress in drag? i mean, if hes not a trans, that’d be mockery or gender dysphoria appropriation, right? Or not, since hes supposed to admire trans kids? and if he is trans, it wouldnt be a costume….

Anyway i miss Halloween. it used to be…fun!

Does the Left ever have any fun? or do we have to wait, under their regime, until everybody in the world can have exactly the same measure of fun at the same time.? Unless everybody laughs, nobody laughs.

Fun equity.

Thats no fun.

  1. I watched Greg last night and agree with you; I couldn’t live without his show during these trying times. The fact that anybody is focusing on an issue this silly in the middle of the calamity we refer to as “America” is too far gone for me so I’m going to ignore it.

Two encouraging things happened last night on Fox, though, that I am anxious to share:

    1. AG Merrick Garland got a major ass-whupping in Congress yesterday by a group of GOP senators for sending out a memo warning officials that disgruntled parents at School Board meetings should keep quiet otherwise, they, too, will be labeled “domestic terrorists.” He responded with all the clarity of his boss. GOP Tom Cotton literally shouted, “Good thing you never got on the Supreme Court; as it stands, I demand your resignation as AG. ” Senator Ted Cruz added while waving around the memo: “You are an ideologue and not a man of law.”

    2. Stand aside Laura Ingraham and Ann Coulter; my new heroine is Ms. Candace Owens (!) who was facing a panel of senators this week on that overriding problem of white nationalism. Just an excerpt: “As a black woman, it is ironic that I have to tell a group of Caucasian men and women that white nationalists exist but are inconsequential at best. The real problems in the black community are illegitimacy/fatherless families and illiteracy. Did you know that white slave owners were not permitted to teach slaves to read in order to keep them ignorant and obedient? Where is the panel for these highly destructive patterns? Instead, you use an issue that barely exists to divide this country. For shame. How dare you ignore these critical issues and expect black citizens to stay loyal to your party?”

The cool thing about the above is that Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan ceded their time over to her so she had an extra 10 minutes to lambaste the rest of the frauds on the panel. Love her!
