On Aaron Rodgers

He didn’t get vaxxed and neither did I until recently because I wanted to travel so I am empathetic to the concept of individual rights… But I keep to myself and am hardly a public personna.

I’m going to defend my least favorite character in the NFL- Jerry Jones who was interviewing with Bob Costas last night. I’m gritting my teeth as I repeat this remark from JJ:

“When you join a team at whatever level, you lose the word “I” and you adopt the word “we.” Rodgers possibly cost his team a trip to the Super Bowl because he was out sick with Covid last week and the Packers lost to the Chiefs.

Current Contract: Aaron Rodgers signed a 4 year, $134,000,000 contract with the Green Bay Packers, including a $57,500,000 signing bonus, 98,700,000 guaranteed.

When you sign up for this, you’re signing up to deliver a ring to your franchise. In my mind, you’re obligated to focus on your health and yes, we all know Covid vaccines may only be 70% effective but 96% of the NFL had no objections.

Even the GOAT encouraged all his new teammates to do this or to quote him “As athletes, we have an obligation to the owners and our fans to do what we can to stay healthy.”

I may be wrong but I believe he felt fine and was only forced out because he tested positive to some test that is supposed to detect nCOVID-19 (AKA NFL protocol for Flu Manchu). Pro football players can play the game even with the sniffles.

  2. “At least Aaron Rodgers won’t be going into another game without any practices. The Green Bay Packers quarterback practiced on Friday essentially for the first time in a month, albeit on a limited basis. ”

Yes and an 8-2 team loses to a 4-5 team. I rest my case.

    1. Regardless of the GOAT’s opinion, pro football does not have the right to make a free-born man take an experimental serum intravenously no matter the foxtrotting Super Bowl.

      May peace be upon thee.

      1. We’ll have to agree to disagree. For that kind of money, you’re obligated to take care of yourself and your teammates me thinks. And the “foxtrotting SB” is what it’s all about in the NFL, dude! The Ring is the thing!!
