  1. No change required, ST. Maybe young Mr. Rittenhouse should confer with Mr. Nicholas Sandmann about picking up the pieces of your life after you’ve been dragged through the lamestream media mud.

  2. He went through hell after simply doing what the 2nd amendment gave him the right to do — use a weapon for self defense. I hope he sues all those who put him through it, wins big, and makes them think 2, 3, 4 times before doing it to someone else.

  3. My only criticism (and it has nothing to do with the verdict) is directed towards the parents who allowed a 17 yr old to attend an enraged BLM riot! Seriously, what were they thinking???

Growing up 40 miles outside urban Detroit, I still remember the ’67 riots and not only would I have never been allowed to attend (even if I had a gun and drivers license), but my family had the car packed and was ready to escape to our summer cabin in the UP.

This isn’t a political complaint whatsoever, but a safety one. 17??

    1. I don’t know what happened, so am only speculating here, but I don’t get the impression that his parents exactly allowed him to attend. If I recall correctly, his mother was working a 16 hour shift at a nursing home in Illinois. His father lives in Kenosha, but Kyle was staying with a friend in Kenosha at the time of the riot. It is very possible that neither of his parents had any idea that he was at the riot.

My parents were older than most other parents at the time, and they were regularly called “over protective” by many of my friends’ parents. But, I could easily have found a way to be at a riot at age 17 without them knowing. When I was that age, we were given a great deal of freedom. There wasn’t all that much parental oversight going on, even with supposedly “over protective” parents like mine.

*my parents were considered over protective by the standards of that place and time, 40 years ago. Nowadays, my parents would be accused of being “free range” parents. 🙂

This makes sense but it infuriates me nonetheless. If you have to work 16 hour shifts, you may want to consider if it is appropriate to even have kids. I feel badly for this kid because any idiot (even non-parents such as I) can sense he was not getting proper supervision.

His life may be ruined. Interestingly, he was a guest on Fox last night and announced he was moving to Naples, FL! Not a bad move, but where was the adult to advise him to keep this info to himself?!!

Synopsis: None of this had to happen if his parents were on the ball. Hey, I was a bit of a rebel in my youth and my mother was all over me “like white on rice.” She kept me out of trouble and even my 60 hr work week father kept close tabs on my grades and SAT scores.

I’m frustrated because we continue to rail on teachers, society, police officers with no mention of the responsibility of the progenitors!

    Am I wrong?
