I’ve commented on the propane fuel for my generator that went from $900- $1800 this year, cleaning ladies and lawn services up 25%, HOA fees up 50%, medical services ($2200 for a crown- I passed) but this takes the highest award:
I keep a fresh bowl of lemons and limes on kitchen counter for cooking and also for deodorizing the garbage disposal but today I noticed that lemons at Publix were $1 per. Since I live in Florida, I was verklempt at this price increase and cut back my purchases by 50%.
OK, your turn. What’s been the most egregious expense you’ve encountered lately?

Mine is broccoli. It went up to 100% of it’s previous price!!! And so, I didn’t buy. I settled for cabbage instead, which is also good. 😁

I noticed that now, at the self-checkout, I always hafta sign, when I stop in for “ a few things” and insert my credit card. I’m not sure what the threshold is, but before Bygone-Hapless, I never had to sign except when I shopped for a big party.,
