      1. You are funny all the time, but in this particular case, no. In this particular case, don’t even joke, because there are in fact a minority of Americans who do in fact prefer Hunter Biden to Veterans. Definitely not most Americans, but a minority. Unfortunately.

  3. I say, both hedonism and nihilism are wrong. I don’t want either of them.

They are probably related, though. They both help to create a culture of death.

      1. Because hedonism is ultimately meaningless. It might make some kind of sense for young, wealthy people who live during times of peace, but that isn’t very many people, and all of us grow old. Growing old isn’t pleasurable, running into a burning building to save a child is not pleasurable, going to war to defend one’s country is not pleasurable-you don’t need me to tell you that- living with an illness or a disability is not pleasurable, but there is meaning in all of those things. A meaning that the hedonist would reject, because it isn’t pleasurable.

There is a connection between hedonism and our high suicide rates. There is also a connection between hedonism and abortion/euthanasia. In America, hedonists justify killing themselves and/or unborn children and/or the elderly by claiming that they are sparing everyone from suffering. That is the culture of death.

      1. Why, thank you, JaC, for the kind words! ā€œHedonihilismā€ seems to be fairly widespread right now, doesn’t it? Gathering places like ā€œUnwokeā€ are more important than ever. I’m sure glad it’s here. 🐼
