Hypatia, the beginning of this clip made me think of you, and your experiences with male feminists. Bill Burr is very funny, but be warned: this clip, which goes for about 13 minutes, is NOT SAFE FOR WORK AT ALL!!! He drops the F bomb every other sentence, and that is the least of his vulgarity. He is very funny, but, if you are seriously offended by vulgarity, do not watch this!

Reminds me of little bro saying after a successful date, “I just wanted to be held.”

BTW, my daughter insists that women can rape men.
Well, idk, have you ever read “The World According to Garp”, by John Irving? Seems to me that scenario is about the only one possible….

I have never read that book. I did hear once of a situation where a woman started performing oral sex on an unsuspecting man while he was asleep. He woke up, obviously, and did not like what was happening, but for a lot of reasons-one reason being her teeth, he didn’t try to stop it. Later on, he told a female friend about it, and she assured him that what he experienced was sexual assault. I agree. I don’t know if it is rape exactly, but it’s wrong. Very, very, very wrong.

In Irving’s book, the protagonist’s mom is a nurse during VietNam. She wants a baby . There is a patient in her ward, Technical Sargent Garp. He’s pretty much brain dead but he’s priapic, constantly a huge erection. She mounts him one night, gets pregnant and gives birth to a baby whom she names T.S.Garp. Everybody always calls him Garp.
My criterion for a great novel is how well I remember the characters. And I’ve always felt I KNOW Garp, personally.

That is awful! I have been hearing about “The World According To Garp” since I was a kid, and have always kind of meant to read it, but never have. I must read it.
