So lemme just say, this thing about Russia invading Ukraine….
2 possibilities: Russia, having had a conclusive demonstration of the US’ military ineptitude in Kabul, actually means to try, and thinks it can hold, that vast and non-united country—
or, this entire thing is a wag-the-dog collusive stunt.
I visited Ukraine right before the pandemic. Lotsa people there WANT to move close to Russia, their Slavic Big Brother.
That may explain why in a news report this AM, the somewhat mystified Fox reporter says Kiev is “remarkably calm”.
In Crimea, which Americans were told was forcibly and dishonestly seized by Russia, Putin is very popular.
But there are also lots of people there who would rather move toward the EU, so….cue Ukranian Civil War #3.

OTOH, thanks to Peter Schweitzer, we now know that Bygone is in China’s pocket…and recently Putin and Xi have resuscitated the ol’ Sino-Soviet alliance. So mebbe ol’ Jo[k]e is being blackmailed ( or ”nigga mailed” as Hunter would put it) and Putin is complicit in propping him up : he’ll make it look like Russia is backing down, as long as Bygone tows the Chinks’ line.
i hope the latter is not the case. Because, now that Russia is no longer a ”godless communist” country, but an Eastern Orthodox one—really, who cares what they do?
Im just gonna say it: Russians are of our race. I’d rather be at their mercy than at the mercy of the Chinese, who don’t even consider us human.
And i would lay any odds you like that Ukranians feel the same way.

The Bygone-Hapless admin has been a rerun of “That 70sShow, complete with inflation and unnecessary military disaster. So it occurs to me that Ol’Bygone wants to return to…the thrilling days of the Cold War!
We had a good ol’fashioned ENEMY, remember? With WEAPONS! All Americans could agree on that!
Now of course we have a far more dangerous enemy (China) but it fights with viruses, with economics…most people can’t get terrified by that, and THAT means they don’t get the blessed rejoicing like after the Cuban Missile Crisis. Kennedy “stood up” to The Commies—and they backed down!
(Yeah, not really, we also agreed to remove OUR missiles from Turkey, but…details!)
(Oh and additionally, it would be…awkward to recognize China for the implacable foe it is, because race! We’re white and they’re not. Bad look these days. But “The Russians? Whiter’n WE are! No “white supremacy “ issues THERE! They make a great enemy!
Bygone, who has already made a huge concession to Russia in connection with fuel supplies tomEurope, wants us to get all horrified about its “aggression” to its small Slavic neighbor, traditionally under its control. “A fledgling democracy”, I heard somebody call Ukraine this morning! I do not think so. And if it is so what? Russia now calls itself a democracy too—and they’re no longer “Godless Communists”, so, um…..why are we getting all upset, except that we all have mental tropes left over from….The Cold War?
