Paying Five Figures to Deep State’$ IRS

I take a back seat to no one as far as taxing the rich is concerned but when military retirees are getting taxed tens of thousands of dollars on so called ‘personal gains’ and pensions; the Founding Fathers would have been horrified by the sorry $tate of the Union.

    1. Funny, I was just thinking about all the jobs I have worked in my life, and it occurred to me for the first time that the most difficult job I ever worked was the first one-and it wasn’t just because it was the first one. Waitress at Friendly’s. I ended up sobbing in the freezer at least once-and on another occasion, I just walked out, because it was too crazy. They never fired me, they always took me back, which is an indication of how crazy the place was and how difficult it was for them to find good help 🙂

2.01 an hour plus tips, and they taxed the tips to death. Almost 40 years later, waitresses in Massachusetts are still making 2.01 an hour, and they are still taxing tips to death, because you know, liberals just care so much about working people.

      1. The sad thing is, our tax system is actually humane compared with Europe’s. In Scotland, everybody is taxed through the roof and there is no such thing as a refund, ever, for anyone. Robin was astounded when he moved here, and it opened his eyes even more to the evils of Europe, which is he used to go bananas on people at the NYT who wanted America to become more like Europe. Idiots. They have no idea what they are talking about.

      2. Yup, VAT is a bitch. In Scotland, it’s around 20% I think? Meaning, every trip to the grocery store is taxed at 20%. And they just put up with it, because they cannot imagine life without the National Health, and they are told constantly that giving all their money to the government is just the price they have to pay for “free” health care. And they believe it.

This is one reason why I tend to be optimistic about America: because, sadly, I have an idea of how bad things are in Europe. Things are bad in America too, but here, at least, we are at least having a discussion. In Europe, the insanity is just automatically accepted and very few question it.

  1. Oh, and liberals don’t like people with disabilities much, if they try to work, either: Can’t make enough to support oneself without some residual benefits; can’t work meaningfully without benefits being pulled out from under you. DeepState wants everybody destitute and dependent. :-O Glory be. (Past experience talking, btw.)
