  1. I am told that the grandma of the widow Skye’s daughter catches these in and about her home and delivers them deep into the mountain forest.

    She is Animist.

    1. Sounds like the sort of thing my Dad used to do. At one point, a squirrel or squirrels were making their way into our house. My Dad acquired or made-not sure which-some kind of cage to trap them alive, and would then release them. But they kept coming back. At one point, he took the caged the squirrel across a large field near our house and then released him. And then walked back to the house, but when he got back to the house, he turned around and the squirrel had followed him home, lol πŸ™‚

When I would ask him to deal with a bug, my Dad always did everything in his power to let the bug live and release it into nature. I love people like Skye’s Mom and my Dad. I wish I could be more like them.

  2. Is this creature a chameleon, trying to assume the silver-grey color of the background?
I think it’s kinda cute. Having picked up newts and salamanders so often during my childhood I don’t feel the same repulsion I do for snakes or insects.

    1. I don’t believe it is a chameleon because this is not the first time that I’ve seen it and the color does not seem to change. This is the first time that I tried to demonstrate the theory of human hierarchy to it.

  3. I heard that it is ‘specist’ to put a label on an entity without first engaging them in an approved safe space to discover how an entity identifies. Not being a biologist I cannot define what this entity is. Now my brain hurts. πŸ™‚

      1. It was like a bad flu and my head didn’t explode in a cloud of blood and pus or any of the other stuff they had jammed down our throats for the last couple of years.
