I love my house, but wow is it expensive. And, because of the area, there is a pretty low ceiling on how much value can be added to it. I was reminded of this last night as I looked through properties in Florida. I was almost salivating, thinking about how much easier life would be with a more affordable home. Then, I looked at properties in my local area, which are generally more expensive than Florida. But, to my surprise, there are still a few diamonds in the rough, even around here. And, they are affordable.
I love my house so much. Everything about my house reminds me of Robin. So many memories of him are in that house. As I pondered this, the idea of moving somehwere else seemed unbearable. So, I prayed to Robin, or through the interecession of Robin, to seek guidance.
It was a quick, silent prayer, spoken in my mind as I stepped onto the front porch for a cigarrette. I stepped onto the porch, noticed that there was a sunshower, started thinking about rainbows, and in my mind, I said, “Robin, if you want me to sell the house, send me a rainbow.” I spoke those exact words in my mind. Before I could even finish the sentence, I turned my head and there was the loveliest rainbow I have ever seen. Robin often has a way of answering my prayers immediately.
As I scrolling through properties today, two houses in particular caught my eye, both within easy commuting distance of my Mother’s house. I just spoke with my realtor. She and I are meeting first thing Monday morning to explore the possibilities. Stay tuned ๐

If you look closely, you will see that this is a double rainbow, just like the last one was. ๐
