I wrote that about 3 months before the 2018 midterms. Predicting that if Dems took Congress , they would go full scale “Show me the man and I’ll find you the crime!” A statement attributed to the infamous Lavrenty Beria.
They did, of course.
But we hadn’t seen nuthin’ yet.
yesterday the Attorney General of the United States announced that he is appointing a Special Prosecutor to investigate Trump. For why? Because he’s running for President..
yup, folks, that’s what the man said. Oh, also because Bygone is running again. What does that even mean? WTF does anything Biden does or doesn’t do have to do with re-investigating Trump, over 2 issues that have already been turned inside out: Jan 6 and the Mar a Lago documents?
Y’know, sometimes A person gets a serious illness, a high fever , and he recovers, but he just isn’t the same person ever again.
That’s what’s happened to our country. You drive round now, it looks like things are getting back to normal post-Covid—but America just isn’t herself.
Americns wouldn’t use the criminal law against political opponents. This is Soviet Union stuff.
I cannot tell you how sick I feel over this, as a lawyer and as an American. It is a waking nightmare.
I’ll just say that Republicans got all snotty because Trump began primary season a little early, pinging at DiSantis and Youngkin. But they’re not going ballistic over THIS?
Furthermore this wouldn’t be happening if they had managed by kind of indignation o paver the Mar a Lago dawn raid.
The country I love is not well.
And I hope maybe someone from R> will see this, and just wonder for even a moment whether my 2018 post wasn’t prescient, whether maybe they shoulda kept me around, whether maybe it is the Never with whom I was arguing whom they should have jettisoned?
Nah.
And it doesn’t matter, it’s too late now, we have lost everything.

You are correct. The people held for Jan 6 “crimes” are being treated like political prisoners in China. Ashley B. is shot and killed by police, and the left is protecting him even though Ashley was unarmed.

Sadly, I missed that OP of yours on R> but that NeverTrump A-hole is still there gleefully spewing his anti-Trump propaganda without any repercussions. He seems to be protected by TPTB and the Ricochetti ‘brain trust’ are impotent against this one radical man who plays their CoC against them better than anyone ever played a Stradivarius.

Censorship is everywhere. I have been commenting on Powerline recently, and one of the editors who’s visiting England remarked that Christmas is a bigger deal there than it is here. Wha’?!? But then I started thinking about that, and I concluded that actually Christmas hasn’t been the same here since 9/11. I ended up with “Those suicidal bearded murdering infidels stole America’s Christmas.”
Review of that comment was “pending” for 12 hours.
The same thing happened to one of my comments about Dave chappelle’s anti-Semitic SNL shtick. If he’s so edgy, why doesn’t he make fun of his OWN religion—he’s a Muslim—like Jewish comics do?
Even on Powerline, somebody is mighty tender of the sensibilities of believers in that bastard syncretistic creed.
