Several months ago, I went to a dermatologist because I had several tiny spider veins in my face that I wanted laser treatments for. But, that dermatologist’s waiting list for laser treatments is over a year, so she referred me to a plastic surgeon whose office does laser treatments. That is the only reason I have a plastic surgeon, lol 🙂
But, I am really glad that I do. After one round of laser treatments-only 100 dollars-virtually all of the spider veins are gone. I might need a few more rounds for the really stubborn one, but I am very happy with the results.
And, you know those weird bumps people sometimes get on their faces? One of those developed on my face in the last couple of months. It was very small, but it really bugged me. The PA at the plastic surgeons office gave me a shot of novacaine and just scraped the ugly thing off. I was warned that there would probably be a bright pink scar for a couple of months afterward: one week later, it’s just a tiny patch of light pink, barely noticeable, and hopefully that will be gone soon. I decided before it was done that I would rather have a scar than a bump, so I am not worried. They sent it off to a lab to make sure that it wasn’t cancerous (it wasn’t) and insurance paid for all of it.
I am trying to grow old gracefully, really I am, but I don’t mind doing a few cheap, minor things to keep aging at bay. 🙂
