Didja see all those Palestinian flags being carried this weekend through the streets of—wait for it:
Madrid?
As you know, in 1492 Their Most Christin Majesties, King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain, finally routed Boabdil, the last Sultan of Granada, seven centuries after the Muslim Conquest of the Iberian peninsula.
Spain was reconquered for the One True Faith!
(At this point I hafta tell you that yes, I do know the nuanced history of Muslim Spain, a checkerboard of warring principalities, some Muslim, some Christian, military prowess being respected by all, kinda like the relationship between Richard the Lionheart and Salahadin— this explains why El Cid is enthusiastically claimed as a champion by both sides. And I also know the reconquista had unfortunate consequences for the Jews. So please don’t lecture me about the vaunted “tolerance” of that society.)
The point is, by 1492 Spain had had enough of the invaders and their alien worship.
Spain won in 1492.
But now, seeing those green and black flags there this weekend, it’s obvious that the enemy has seeped back in, a slow but persistent invasion.
Everybody seems to have forgotten about the “Syrian Refugee Crisis “ which began in 2011, wherein Europe was forced to absorb a whole buncha Arabs displaced by the Syrian civil war. They were admitted to France, Spain, Germany (Portugal, with its dwindling population, actually wanted ‘em, but only managed to attract about 30 —no that’s not a typo).
That phenomenon certainly gave the Muslim reconquest of Europe a big boost.
Remember (no I know you don’t) that little boy Angela Merkel was cradling in her arms, promising him he would not be sent back to war-torn Syria? Welp: he’s fighting age now, and he was out there somewhere this weekend waving a Palestinian banner.
Another aspect of this “world-wide” support for the “Palestinians” is relief from the awful burden of Holocaust guilt. AS IF Israel’s determination to take control of this tiny strip of land, which it voluntarily relinquished in 2006, no strings attached—only to have the entire place be turned into a launching pad for missiles to attack Israel— shows, finally, that the Jews DESERVED what happened to them in WW II. Oh thank GOD, we no longer have to even pay lip service to the fact that the Holocaust was a genocide unrivaled on human history! SEE? the Jews are just as bad…
This has been building for a while, of course: people clearly chafed under the burden of having to admit at least that what happened to the Jews ipunder Hitler was uniquely horrible. But NOW: look how quickly (not even a month!) the original pogrom on October 7 has been forgotten, totally subsumed by “the world’s” indignation at Israel’s response!
No, I’m afraid this is THE event which will, at last, trump any mention of the Holocaust for the foreseeable future.
Islam has reconquered Spain.
As it did in the Battle of Poitiers in 732 under Charles Martel, the Hammer of Christendom, France is resisting—but France, too, has been fatally sapped and adulterated by the enemy.
The long grainy newsreel of history that we’ve been familiar with all our lives sputtered and jerked to darkness, started up again—and is now replaying—backwards.
