My first thought was that the creature is probably dying or dead. But NO! According to the British Beekeepers Association, bees DO sleep, like, 5-8 hours a day! And it’s the only invertebrate known to do so. I really should know this stuff, as consort to a beekeeper.
And, if you think THIS is cute, the article also says bees sometimes hold onto each other’s legs while they nap!

Along those lines, my daughter reminded me that otters hold hands while they sleep, so they won’t drift apart in the water! Awwwwwww…now THAT is so sweet it makes your teeth ache..🥹!
