Ok, I guess I do have some words: this is The number one reason why I don’t want to vote. I don’t want the burden of such decisions. I don’t want to send men to war: I know that there are times when someone has to, but I don’t want to be anywhere near that decision.
I always voted the way my father and husband wanted me to: they voted the same, and they voted the same as most men in the military. Now that my father and husband are gone, I follow the lead of those in the military, and try to vote the way they do. Even so, I would prefer to not vote at all.
We should all still be pi$$ed at how those who put themselves on the line for us are mistreated/misrepresented by those who make the ultimate decisions. Kipling had it right then and still does.
Thai chix are more appreciative of my military service than are Americans of either sex.

We were LAI back in the day.
The unit is now named LAR which is more accurate but there is room for debate.

After his son’s death, in a poem titled “Epitaphs of the War”, Kipling wrote “If any question why we died / Tell them, because our fathers lied.”
