You Wanna Talk COOL?

Trump is the coolest character ever. We’re talkin’ ice water in the veins.
I had kinda a Trump-a-rama yesterday, listening to both his CPac speech and his South Carolina victory speech.
The amazing thing to me was the total absence of any self-pity, given the judicial persecution and the unprecedented, ad hominem financial deprivation he is facing.

He came off as confident.
He came off as calm.

He came off as HAPPY.

Like there was no place he’d rather be, nothing he’d rather be doing.

Maybe his enemies expected to see him “at bay”, like Nixon during Watergate, for that matter like Biden after the Hur report.

Nah. He’s the Serve-Pro of politicians: “like it never even happened”.

Does he really have the money to pay these ruinous New York judgments (and full payment of them is, we’ve learned, a precondition of exercising the fundamental right to appeal in that state)?

God, I hope so!

But what I’m remarking on here is his sublime sang-froid. At Cpac, he told a story about being on a plane landing in enemy territory with no runway lights, lauding the confidence and skill of the military pilot, and joking that he himself had been so frightened he wanted to award himself the Congressional Medal of Honor!
A joke, of course— relax, CNN.

But I think he ought to get an award for his performance yesterday: Grace under pressure, calm under fire.

Now, THIS is the kinda guy we need. Bravo, President Trump!
