I get that you are upset but whatever you are doing is like the American tourist abroad thinking if he just keeps raising the volume in his voice – eventually he will be understood by the local peasants who have heard very little if any English.
You may recall that I tried to tell the people on Ricochet beginning in Jan 2013 what Obama was up to and how to stop him. I was ignored and Obama succeeded.
Trump is not stupid and I prefer if our blog not only be about evil.
I thought you were an apex protector, here to save the world. Are you seriously telling me that tI am ruining the mood by posting too much about the most important news story of all time?
You seem to be saying that you are totally comfortable with the fact that Hypatia referred to victims of childhood sex abuse as “whores.” You have felt no need to address her use of that word, but you feel that i am causing problems? Am I understanding you correctly?

You are accusing me of being an ugly American because I am upset about the fact that children are being trafficked and the American government is covering it up. Meanwhile, anyone who has read Hypatia’s comments over the past week can see with their own eyes how totally apathetic she is to plight of abused children. At times, her attitude goes beyond apathy, and it becomes sneering contempt. For instance, when she refers to trafficked children as “whores.”
You remained totally silent while Hypatia was viciously attacking children, but you made sure to take the time to advise me to stop posting so much about child sex trafficking. Hypatia has complained that I am ruining her fun by calling attention to the Epstein scandal. You seem to agree with Hypatia that talking about child sex trafficking is no fun.
There are definitely some ugly Americans on this site, but I don’t think that I am one of them.
I know that there are people from various countries around the world reading this, and I want those people to know that most American women do not regard victimized children with total apathy the way Hypatia does, and very few American men would defend a woman who speaks about children the way Hypatia does, or remain silent while a woman is attacking children.
If you are reading this from another country, please understand that ST and Hypatia do not represent America. I totally condemn their apathy toward children, and so would the vast majority of Americans.

if you want to know about trafficking of actual “children”, y’know, prepubescents and toddlers, watch The Sound of Freedom. I could NOT have sat through that when my daughter was a child. And it is a true story. Now THAT is truly a holocaust of children.
But it is not Epstein’s story.
since this thing started, Epstein’s victims are being reported as younger and younger, in an apparently successful attempt to manipulate people’s emotions. Against Trump, the ONLY person trying to do something about actual toddler abuse. F’rinstance, by closing the border.
A physically mature young woman who may be a few months or years short of her 18th birthday is not the same case as a toddler.
you are very upset and angry and I am sorry for that. And yes, I hope people from other countries DO read this; I resent being subject to international calumny.
And I’m amazed that you would respond to Simon, who bears the physical and emotional scars of his military service, by calling him apathetic, and most insulting of all: un-American.

My father was a combat veteran who fought at Peleliu. Several of my relatives are combat veterans. My father would have absolutely incinerated anyone who called survivors of sex trafficking “whores.” I keep using the phrase, “sex trafficking” but let’s call it what it is: it’s rape, and these young women and children are rape victims. I am pretty sure that every or almost every American I have ever known would incinerate someone who referred to rape victims as “whores.”
Simon is a very brave man who has made incredible sacrifices for his country, but it’s clear that somewhere along the way, he lost his way.
Simon’s recent behavior does not line up with who I thought he was. It just doesn’t line up with who he told me he was. Simon is a very brave man who has risked his life countless times, but he isn’t brave enough to say something when rape victims are being called “whores.” He put his life on the line for freedom again and again and again, and now he wants all of us to shut, stick our heads in the sand, and obey Trump. This does not make sense to me.

We are a force for mutual upbuilding and support during challenging times: I find it more effective to keep lighting candles – acknowledging darkness, while avoiding cursing it – because the act of cursing gives the darkness power it doesn’t deserve.. Merely my opinion, of course

Anyone who has read my posts can see with their own eyes that I have not been cursing the darkness. I have been trying to shed light on the most important news story of all time-a story that Hypatia and Simon want to ignore, for some reason.
In this post, Simon has stated that in his opinion, “Trump isn’t stupid.” Simon apparently believes that we should all just shut up, stick our heads in the sand, and do whatever Trump says. Remaining silent and just obeying Trump has nothing whatsoever to do with lighting candles or moving toward the Light.

One may even say that this blog has been a ‘force mutliplier’ whose rearguard actions on multiple levels contributed at least in no small part in saving whatever remains of the American way of life.

For years now, I have considered Simon to be a good friend, which is why I am so surprised by his silence while women and children who are rape survivors are being called “whores.” Until now, I have supported Simon through thick and thin. I witnessed firsthand the total lack of appreciation some people displayed for his military service, and I was outraged by it.
I know that it was very harsh of me to say that Simon doesn’t represent America. I would like to clarify: Simon is and always will be a great Marine and a great American, but at the same time, the cruelty that he has displayed toward rape victims does not represent America. Simon is the bravest of men. He has gone through total hell for this country, which is why his cruelty toward women and children who have been through the hell of sex trafficking is so strange.
Simon’s silence on this matter does not line up with the Simon I thought I knew, which causes me to wonder what happened to Simon? Is he being blackmailed? Is someone threatening his family? Are there things going on the background that I have no clue about? I don’t know and will probably never know the answer to those questions. All I know is that Simon’s recent behavior does not line up with the Simon I thought I knew.
Simon is keenly aware of “ugly Americans,” which is why he called me one. He has traveled extensively and lived overseas. He knows better than most how badly some Americans represent America. He also knows that this blog has readers all over the world. He knows that calling rape victims “whores” is not an accepted practice in America, but he is totally willing to accept it on his blog. He totally accepts that terminology knowing that for some readers, this blog is their only experience of America. Knowing that some readers may be rape survivors themselves and knowing that some readers may be deeply wounded by those words.
I am not on board with calling women and children who have been subjected to sex trafficking “whores.” I am not on board with staying silent while other people are calling those women and children “whores.” I don’t know what the eff Simon is doing, but whatever he is doing, I am not on board with it.
