I think I’ve found a site that offers a multitude of personalities and points de vue. So far, this is what interests me:
Simon offers an edge of wildness (that I honestly miss from my twenty-something days) and legitimate military/political views while he is able to discuss more personal religious principles with other members. In the meantime, other vocal members are open to discussing many matters- politically incorrect or not- in a civil, intelligent manner.
Special shout-out to Nanda who was an awfully good sport about my Lou Reed comment!
Right with you, Liz! Blogging with and for grownups – with ST’s special sauce. It doesn’t get better than this!

Wild Saint— I love that!

H, the wild ones do a better job of it than the mild ones, don’t you think? I love it, too, by the way…

Nanda, you should check out my “HolyFool” post on the Rat—hey it’s free, as they say! ( No, that isn’t at all the same thing as Wild Saint..it’s just that you might be interested in the religious aspect of it).
So,ST: cast out, banished, by both the Rico and the Rodent, you seem to have enticed away the ablest women writers from both (though I say it as shouldn’t!)! 😜

H, the ST seems to have a talent for helping many of us to meet/rediscover talents and gifts in ourselves – and each other. His paradoxically courtly wildness gives one permission to step out a bit. (I think of Robert Browning vis-à-vis Elizabeth Barrett here. ) Would you consider sharing “HolyFool” over here?

He has indeed. He never forgets the “fun factor.”
Plus the outrageous posts (see: Walk on the Wild Side) just simply entertains me. I’ve been there/done that and ST has a very charming way of reminding us of our youth. :)))

I tried to follow your advice but I cannot find that OP. Seriously it seems to have gone MIA.

My apologies for referring to it as a post! It was a comment/video on your Title IX post.

I always enjoy what our gracious host has termed the “silly Simon post” genre – yet to be experienced in the Kaffeeklatsch in its full splendor. (grin/giggle/guffaw)

Here’s the best thing about the wild and woolly ST: He simply likes women in all shapes, sizes with varying political viewpoints.
I am blessedly married to this type of gentleman so I know of what I speak.

I have no idea how to import a post from there to here. It’s just like with my car; I can drive it, of course, but I have no idea how it works….

No worries, H. I’ll tiptoe over and take a peek, though it feels slightly disloyal… (grin)

Love it, H! Lots of room for discussion. Shall I “port” it over here for you?

Totally agree with everything all of you have said 🙂 Thank you so much, Simon, for this site, and thanks to all the great people on it-so much fun 🙂

I believe him to be unfailingly truthful, JaC…besides he may want to see if any of us may be doing so, too, yes? (smile)

Simon, keep your site to yourself and your fans as well. It’s not fun or irreverent out there; simply sanctimonious and ego-maniacal.

I agree but would add that they are self-doubting and with inferiority complexes that probably render most also impotent.
What I don’t understand is how they can be both ego-maniacs and cuckolded.
P.S. Cuckold also seems to be their new favorite word for some reason that also baffles the mind.

I thought you’d be happy when you saw this thread, ST! Good morning!
(Nanda, don’t bother with Holy Fool; thanks for reading it; anybody who wants can see it on R. Thanks for reading it!)

You guys are making me believe in me again. That and the two thumbs up from the young lady this morning just before she jumped into her cab.

I fear “two thumbs up” may be more than metaphorical….hee hee, just funnin’, never mind…

Of course, all of your gal pals will demand an explanation here. 🙂

“…just before she jumped into her cab.”
But that doesn’t mean the fun has to end, right? How about this?…

I read, and “ported” it – subject to ST’s approval – because I wanted to “Like” and Comment on it…And much prefer to do both here. It relates to recent topics well…

Hypatia, I published your HF OP here before thinking to ask you first – sorry dude. I can pull it down if you’d like. I assuming that it is ‘k’ with you so until then it will remain open to the public to see here.
How copy – over?

I am (almost) sure that you’d rather no know. Something about LBFMs making some ladies from the western world jealous and such. Of course if you just must know a bit of arm twisting usually works wonders.
FYI: The ‘no know’ above was not a typo.

Solid, no doubt copy, ST….Grateful for the heads-up/need to know, more than I can say. (However, I’m sure I speak for more than myself when I say that arm-twisting doesn’t sound like as much fun as twisting you around one’s little finger.) -grin-

Yes for all concerned I am sure.

P.S. I just googled LBFM and the top one (and only one that I opened) was not a family friendly website. I do not recommend.

Last time I checked LBFM meant Lite Beer From Miller so naturally I’m confused…

Maybe it’s a Simon-style homage to Lou Reed, Liz?

LOL 🙂 Simon warned you that you might rather not know, and if you find out, your innocence will be lost forever. Think hard before you find out what LBFM means; once you know it, it cannot be unknown 🙂
